Equal Access Programme
The Enable Initiative is the non-profit division of the work that Enable does. Through this initiative we offer an EQUAL ACCESS PROGRAMME to ensure we achieve our aim of therapy for all. This programme bridges the gap between private and public healthcare. Qualification for the programme is means tested (based on household income) and reviewed by the clinical team
Jade Emma Gibson Fund
This fund is part of our Equal Access Programme and is awarded in loving memory of Jade Emma Gibson, who left this world far too soon at the age of 17. Jade was a remarkable young woman - kind, loving, and endlessly hardworking - with a deep compassion for others and a dream of dedicating her life to helping children. Through this fund, we aim to carry forward her spirit of care and kindness by funding the rehabilitation of children in need.
To apply complete our Equal Access Programme form. You will automatically be considered for the Jade Emma Gibson Fund if you are under the age of 18.

Keegan Keeble
The Enable Centre has been a life-changing part of my spinal cord injury journey. After sustaining an incomplete T6 injury with Brown-Séquard Syndrome in 2016, I lost movement on my right side and sensation on my left. The team has helped me improve my mobility, posture, and strength—pushing me daily to walk more independently. Their dedication, positive mindset, and family-like environment have made all the difference. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
Luigi Daniels
I’m Luigi Daniels, 35 years old and on Mother’s Day 2024 I suffered a stroke that left me unable to speak and paralyzed on my right side. I felt lost and hopeless, it was the worst feeling imaginable. But then I started my journey at the Enable Centre, where an incredible team helped me regain my speech, mobility, and confidence. I’m deeply grateful for the people I’ve met there and for the lessons I’ve learned, especially the importance of putting in the work every single day. The journey isn’t over, but I’m moving forward.
Ricardo Diedericks
After experiencing persistent lower back pain, I underwent spinal decompression and fusion surgery in November 2021 which left me paralysed after complications. Enable Centre has been key in my recovery over the past three years, helping me build up my strength, balance, and mobility. Through specialized rehabilitation, including core training, walking calipers, and treadmill exercises focussing on my goals. Their tailored approach has made a significant impact on my journey to recovery.
Enable Community Clinics
The Enable Community Clinics are a collaborative initiative with the Western Cape Department of Health, held every six weeks within the Paarl community. Patients are referred directly from the Drakenstein Clinic and receive comprehensive, interdisciplinary care from our dedicated team. Reaching approximately 150 patients annually, this program embodies a meaningful public-private partnership aimed at expanding access to rehabilitation services. We are also working with the University of Cape Town to explore the program’s efficacy and guide its future development. We’re immensely proud of this initiative and look forward to expanding its reach in the coming years.
